The Winner
Thank you for sharing your journeys like no other with Orient-Express. We are pleased to announce the winner of our Peruvian adventure. Travelling from the city of Lima through the Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, we invite winner Kristi Wayman to enjoy making new travel memories with Orient-Express.

“During our honeymoon, my husband and I were able to beat the crowds to the Sistine Chapel in Rome. This photo shows our encounter with the morning tour groups coming towards us upon our return through the Vatican Galleries. The shot epitomizes a sea of tourists with typical expressions of dumbfounded awe and uncomfortable proximity.”
World-renowned photographer, author and publisher Marc Hoberman headed up our judging panel. He says this about the winning entry:
“This is a moment I wish I had captured! Many pictures show crowd scenes but because of all the moments that need to come together at exactly the right time, it’s rare to get it “right”. This, for me, is perfect – the range of expressions are wonderful and entertaining and give the viewer a sense of what a Sistine Chapel moment is truly like in the 21st century. I’ve looked carefully at every face and no one lets the group down, everyone is having their own distinct moment.”
